Welcome to my Portfolio!

My name is Nathan Schmidt. I'm a computer scientist, developer, teacher, and commercial fisherman. This portfolio aims to showcase my research & development and teaching experience, and some of my software projects. I have an unwavering commitment to working hard, learning, teaching, and building solutions to make a difference.

Today I'm working on research & development projects that apply computer science and math to physics and cryptography. I teach introductory courses in computer science and math as an adjunct instructor at Boise State University and commercial fish in Alaska during the summers. To expand my skill set, I'm learning more about web development and cyber security. I enjoy doing activities with family and friends, such as snowboarding, Jeet Kune Do, Kali, and just being in the great outdoors.

Feel free to navigate my portfolio and maybe you'll find something cool!

Please note that the Research & Development Section and Software Section of my portfolio are currently under construction. In the meantime, you may wish to view my publications on Research Gate and Linked In or download my "Latin Square Toolbox" open source project from Github or SourceForge.
